In 2012 Paul Besterveld completed a three year restoration of an ex-Cavalier Mustang that now honors one of the least known aces of the 352nd Fighter Group. This story pays homage to the World War II pilot, Colonel Joe Mason, documents the recent restoration, and introduces the proud owners who are living out their dream to fly a Mustang and to honor the history it represents.
