The Tuskegee Trainer

In 2008 the CAF National Capital Squadron decided to refinish their BT-13 in the markings of Tuskegee Army Air Field in order to honor the Tuskegee Airmen; however, they could not find documentation of what those aircraft looked like. In 2010 World War II veteran and original Tuskegee pilot Colonel “Mac” McGee provided the missing information. This is the story of Mac, the National Capital Squadron’s BT-13, and a special reunion flight.
