When Merlin and Allison designed V12s powered aircraft during World War Two, only a soothsayer could have known they would become one company. Instead of brushing the history of the V1710 aside, Rolls Royce embraced the Allison heritage, which is now preserved at the Rolls Royce Heritage Museum – Allison Branch.
