Huffstutler’s FM-2 Wildcat

Many new fighter restorations come out of shops that can boast crews with decades of experience for customers with extremely “deep pockets.” At just 25 years old Conrad Huffstutler is younger than some restorers have been working in the industry, and yet he and his small team at Wild Warbirds of Uvalde, Texas, produced the most historically accurate FM2 Wildcat flying today. This is the story of how they transformed a basket case into an award winning warbird.
